Day 58: Sleepy Puff
More doodles of my pile of puff Jack-Jack. Check him out in real life fidgeting like a baby in this video.
I'd like to do a little Pomeranian doodle set or sticker sheet for Otakon, but I think my style isn't so sticker-friendly. I'm not so good at the ultra cute "chibi" stuff that sells well. Sketchy and kinda awkward is more my style.

Day 57: The Dress that broke the Internet
Oh man, that stinking dress! I can only see blue and black, my sister can see it both blue x black and gold x white. The answer has been found, the true dress is blue and black, but it's so cool how our eyes perceive color so differently. I had a bit of a crisis earlier, but I feel better now. Looking back, it was pretty fun.

Day 56: Kinda Me
Another kinda-self portrait. I wear my hair up nearly all the time now, which is odd, because before college I always wore it down. I think I got into the habit to keep it out of the way while I painted, but now I like having my hair pinned back with like 30 bobby pins all the time. I've been trying to wear it down more often, but I never really do anything with it. I suck at styling hair. Thankfully it's naturally curly, so it looks like some effort was always put into it, when really, I just rolled out of bed.
Day 55: Mabel comes between Lousie & Millie
It's really late, and I have a big day ahead of me tomorrow...technically today...I need to stop staying up so late. Anyway, I've been watching a lot of Gravity Falls while I workout and do stuff around the house, so here's a quickie little Mabel done in Sharpie Pen.

Custom Spoonflower Fabrics? Neeeaat!
I just made some custom fabrics that are available on Spoonflower, and I placed an order. Once they arrive I'll start sewing some things for Otakon's Artist Alley with my own custom fabrics! How cool is that?
Day 54: Stuff I should be doing...
I have the worst sleeping habits, and I suck at drawing patterns (especially florals) but I had a 2 hour nap today and thought I'd celebrate with a doodle. Naps are wonderful. I have an easier time sleeping when it's light outside than when it's dark...but the second I am warm and cozy I'm out like a light.

New Video: Pet Tag
I was shooting a video about stickers, but a spoiled little fluff-puff had to make it all about him. So I thought I"d make this video for fun, even though he changed his mind about halfway through.

Day 53: I'm really Hungry
I tried to make this look more like Americanized cartoons, but I don't know how successful that was. Either way, I'm super hungry, but it's late, and I know I shouldn't eat anything super bad for me this late at night, but I really really want a cheeseburger and fries. Maybe I'll go to PYT next Sunday and get one.
Day 52: Still Gotta Practice Hands
Her hand seems way too big, right? This pose was based off this stock photo, but I kinda rushed it. But it's nearly 6AM again, I better get my butt to bed.

Day 51: I Like Tank Tops
I'm totally not trying to find a loophole around drawing hands. Nope. Not me. Not at all.
Bah, okay, I know I need to keep practicing hands. In the meantime, comfy clothes are the best clothes. It's super cold here, again, but it's winter, so that's going to be an issue for a while. Summer will show up soon, right?

Day 49: Doodle Dump 2.0
I have the idea of making Cameo designs but instead of making them into jewelry, turning them into iron-on patches for my pencil cases and zippered pouches. Tonight I played around with a tea party themed frame, a tea sipping lolita silhouette, and a random pink girl just for the hell of it.

Day 48: Doodle Dump
Thought I'd try and draw a braid tonight, and I learned that I am just as bad at drawing then as I am making them. I'll have to practice more elaborate hair styles. In real life I default to hair down, bun, clipped up, or pony tails. So that's what I draw, but I'd like to do more hair-wise in my drawings and on my actual head.
Day 47: A man?
Super quick one tonight, I default draw women all the time, so I thought I'd sketch out a really really quick male before bed. He kind of reminds me of the Skeleton man from the Mystery Skulls music Video, you know, before he got all Skully. It's just a quick doodle I whipped out, not really based off anyone or anything, just fluffy hair cause it's what I like.

Day 46: Freckles
Oh Netflix, what did I do without you? I ran out of Batman Beyond, so I was listening to some documentaries while I worked today. There was this one called The Dark Matter of Love which was really interesting. It followed some adopted children and their new family and showed how difficult the adjustment process was for everyone involved. The drawing was inspired by Masha, who was kind of the main focus of the documentary. This drawing doesn't really look like her, and it really wasn't meant to, it was more-so inspired by her and her difficulty expressing emotions.
Currently I color and create all of my digital work with a mouse, although all of my draw365 projects have been draw via pen on paper first, all the colors and editing are done in Photoshop with a mouse. I was wondering if I should buy myself a tablet to work on, but if I'm going to get one, I'd like to see where I'm drawing. Do I really want to spend all that money on a Cintiq? Ugggg I can, I have a little nest egg of savings so that I could do it, but it's such a huge purchase. I keep thinking about it, but who know when I'll finally pull the trigger and do it.
More Stickers!
Finally! My 2nd mini sticker sheet is finished and ready for sale! It took a little longer than expected, and I'm not sure when larger versions will be available in my shop (Possibly Mid-March?) but the mini versions are here!
Due to the awkward shapes of these stickers, it doesn't look nearly as neat or structured as my first sheet, which is still available, which bothers me, but it's still cute.
These Mini Sheets are now available in my Etsy and Store Envy shops!
Day 45: Let Them Eat Cake
Another super late night. Since yesterday's drawing was so angsty, I thought I'd balance it with something light hearted and sweet. My hands are still atrocious. I need to go back to practicing them.

Day 44: It's been a loooong day
Still need to brush up on my anatomy, a LOT, but I think I'm getting a bit better day by day. It's already past 5AM, I better get to bed.

Day 43: Mighty Max
Been watching a lot of Batman Beyond on Netflix lately. I used to wake up and watch it on Saturday mornings with my sister, that and X-men Evolution. I loved the darker story lines, and Max! Although I hate that the pink for her hair changes to purples and stuff throughout the series. I love the initial magenta pink she started out with, so I did a little doodle of her tonight.

Day 42: More Lazy Busts
I have a lot of awkward little spaces left on older sketchbook pages, so I am going back and filling them in with random doodles to fill up the space. I wish I had dyed my hair crazy colors when I was younger. I still debate on whether or not I should dye my hair a pale lavender color, but I'm 27 years old, and I feel like it's a weird time to start having crazy colored hair, plus I am super duper lazy about my hair. 99.9% of the time it's tied up in a bun to keep it out of the way. Maybe I'll just buy a pastel wig and wear it to cons.

Day 41: Bubbling Beauty
Bubble bath time! I was actually sick all morning at work, threw up twice, and had to be sent home. Since I have been feeling so crappy, I decided to draw something serene and relaxing, like a bubble bath. Sorry for the awkward angle, I am filling up empty spaces on the pages of my sketchbook.

Day 40: Everything is Beautiful
In my bedroom, I have several old record album covers decorating the walls. I think it makes me seem like I'm really into music, or vintage artwork, but really, I'm not. Sure, I like music and I do like some retro imagery and aesthetics, but I'm not super keen or obsessed with one or the other. Truth is, I bought them at thrift shops back when I was in high school because I just liked the art on the covers. That's all.
Out of all my records, I have one that I am just visually obsessed with. It's this one, Andre Kostelanetz's Everything is Beautiful. It's really simple, and my copy is pretty worn, but there's something about the warm colors and the model's face that I am crazy about. I am even thinking of buying another copy online so that if anything happens to my current one, I'll still have this artwork.
Maybe I'm crazy, but I am really obsessed with it. It's my favorite record hanging in my room, so I decided to use it as inspiration for tonight's drawing.
Draw 365 Day 39: Lazy Bust
I meant to do something more elaborate and thought out, but time got away from me. So tonight I just doodled a lazy bust-style drawing. I guess it's kind of a self portrait, but nut really. I need a hair cut. O wish I had the volume of this drawing, my hair is long, wavy and curly, but the top get weighed down by the length so it gets all flat. Once I figure out what I want to do with it, I'll cut it, for now, I keep it tied up about 90% of the time so it's out of the way.

Day 38: Ehhhh
Remember what I said about getting back into the swing of things? Meeeehhhh, I better go back to studying up on hands and basic anatomy. It's nearly 5AM now, but I'll try and do better tomorrow. I feel like this drawing has more life than some of the others, but it has a LOT of technical errors.

Day 37: Sassy Tea Party?
I feel like I am starting to get back into the groove of drawing and sketching, it's been so long! I wanted to do something original tonight, since I've been doing a lot of fan-art lately, so this is what I came up with. I was originally going to go for a lolita outfit, but I liked the sassy expression and decided to keep it simple. I used THIS photo for reference, although I kinda took some liberties.

Day 36: No Seriously Dad, Voodoo.

Day 35: Food Doodles...Foodles? Foo-doodles?
I felt like doing some pen doodles, and I was kinda hungry. I don't want to say I'm dieting, because I'm not, but I am trying to make healthier choices, and I am craving a LOT of bad-for-me foods right now. I've been eating a huge salad every day when I got home from work, which I started posting on my instagram, and while I love salads, I REALLY want to whip up like a giant breakfast with eggs and bacon and waffles...but it's 3AM. (I must be
Day 34: Revisit Lis (Seconds)
I went back and did another little doodle of Lis tonight from Seconds. I need to take a shot of the actual pages of my sketchbook to show the scale of these things. I always draw so small. This Lis could fit in the palm of my hand.

Day 33: Lil' Emmy!
It's 3AM, and I decided to doodle Emmy while I watched her latest Youtube Video. Is that creepy? I feel like that's a little creepy. Anyway, I think she turned out adorable for a quick doodle while watching a foodie video. If you ever see this Emmy, I'm sorry I'm a creeper.

Outer-Belly-Buttons! New Buttons on the way!
I wanted to make some button designs using the sailor moon items I vectored, but I didn't want them to look thrown together, so I whipped up some faux space scenes in Photoshop and came up with these.
I'm pretty happy with them, but I am not too sure how the spacey background will look when it's printed. I'll find out sometime this week when I print up a few sheets for a test run. (I hope the stars show up, if not I'll go back into the files and make them more exaggerated so that they do. I think the stars really make these designs POP.)

Day 32: I love Hoodies
Another reference photo drawing, I was trying to find someone posing in a hoodie, I just really love hoodies. I wear one every day at work to stay warm. Sorry for the lack of content tonight. I have some non-365 posts coming up!
Day 31: ONE MONTH COMPLETE! (Idle Hands)
I started with a Black Lady this month, I thought it was only fitting to end this month with a Black Lady. I just got some really awesome news, which means I have to start making a LOT more art again, so this Draw365 project should really help me out with that. I'll let you all know more about it when we get closer to the summer.
