Day 184: I'm being a Very Bad Art Blogger

So I've been a really bad art blogger and this site has been neglected for too long, so here are some doodles I did while watching Hackers on Netflix. I've always loved this movie, and even though the technology seems so outdated when compared to what we have today, the art direction and styling of this film is freaking amazing.

I'm obsessed.

Also, I don't know who I want to marry more, Matthew Lillard's character (Cereal Killer) or Angelina Jolie's (Acid Burn). (Okay, it's really no contest. Angelina wins.) I might even make a Hackers themed button pack for my etsy...I think that would be a lot of fun.

I did a thing: Markiplier Edit

I couldn't resist.

Here’s a LINK to Markiplier’s charity livestream where he is currently playing the best game of all time, Yoshi’s Island! Gahhh I love this game. Nostalgia-feels, right in the childhood.

Day 62: Yoshi!

I just finished writing a nostalgia-fueled Yoshi related post over on Sometimes Foodie, so I let myself have a silly doodle day. Line-art is just doodles in Sharpie pen and color is slapped on haphazardly in Photoshop, as per usual.

Day 43: Mighty Max

Been watching a lot of Batman Beyond on Netflix lately. I used to wake up and watch it on Saturday mornings with my sister, that and X-men Evolution. I loved the darker story lines, and Max! Although I hate that the pink for her hair changes to purples and stuff throughout the series. I love the initial magenta pink she started out with, so I did a little doodle of her tonight.

Day 36: No Seriously Dad, Voodoo.

Pencil sketch, black sharpie pen, Photoshop colors

I've been binge watching a lot of Bob's Burgers while I edit photos lately. I am starting to get really into Louise, maybe I should cosplay her this summer for Otakon 2015. It's a super easy costume, and is looks really comfy.

Day 34: Revisit Lis (Seconds)

I went back and did another little doodle of Lis tonight from Seconds. I need to take a shot of the actual pages of my sketchbook to show the scale of these things. I always draw so small. This Lis could fit in the palm of my hand.

Day 5: Eekum Bokum

Couldn't resist. I threw some colors onto it in Photoshop
I didn't get the chance to finish the inks on my last drawing, and like I said I don't want to rush it, so today I have Mumbo!

Original mechanical pencil drawing
I love Banjo Kazooie (and Tooie) and recently watched a stream of someone speed running it for charity. You can also see the "testing" area for my microns. They were so old, I had to see if they worked before using them on my other piece.

Star Power Makeup!

After file errors, and a lightning storm knocking out my power, I finally finished these transformation wands. I'll be making them into stickers later this week!

Also, the star wands are the cutest wands. The crystal uniforms are better, but the transformation wands look so chunky and silly. I might make them at one point, since I want to make Uranus and Neptune's especially, but the star wands look so much cooler.

Done!

One down, four more to go! (Or was it 5?) I'm a bit rusty on my Sailor Moon weapons. I've been re-watching the entire series with my friends and we're currently in the end of the Sailor Moon R arc, so my it'll take a while for me to get through the rest of the series and remember all her weapons.

After this is the mid-length scepter with a heart on it, then the chalice, the sword, and her final scepter/staff...I think. I better double check.

These aren't the official stickers, these are just print outs from my ink jet to see if I like the sizing. Right now they are roughly 4" x 1.5", and I like it's size in relation to my transformation brooch button. I am debating on whether of not I'll make all the weapons this size, or have them sizes relative to their weapon size, but her sword and staff are really long...so even though the perfectionist in me wants to make them all relative, I think that would be too large for a sticker.

Another progress shot under the cut!

And then there was color!

So I was originally only going to do a vectored outline with a colored background...but that looked too lazy to me. I think I'll stick with that for a poster of the whole group, but for individuals...it just wasn't my style.

So, that means everyone will get their own full color mini poster, and then there will be at least 2 group posters, which is more work...but I feel like the final results will be worth it. (I hope.)
