Day 6: Jackal-Berry-Pom-Pom

.005 Micron and Mechanical Pencil

For day 6 I drew a quick bust-style sketch of my dog, Jack Jack! He's a Pomeranian, although he's way bigger than typical Poms, and it's hard to tell, but this sketch is super tiny. Maybe at the end of this week I'll post a scan of the whole sketchbook page to give you a better idea of size. (I'm currently doing crappy cellphone pics for these posts because they are so quick and easy to put up.)

Day 5: Eekum Bokum

Couldn't resist. I threw some colors onto it in Photoshop
I didn't get the chance to finish the inks on my last drawing, and like I said I don't want to rush it, so today I have Mumbo!

Original mechanical pencil drawing
I love Banjo Kazooie (and Tooie) and recently watched a stream of someone speed running it for charity. You can also see the "testing" area for my microns. They were so old, I had to see if they worked before using them on my other piece.

Day 4: Space for Rent

Mechanical Pencil, various Micron Pens and THIS REFERENCE PHOTO

This one is going to be a WIP, since I like where it's going and I don't want to rush it. The "Space for Rent" thing on the shirt is actually based off a stencil I made in High School (out of duct tape) and "screened" onto shirts back then. I didn't know any better at the time, so I was making them with acrylic paint, and all the lettering was super stiff.

Still, it was cool, and now that I am over a decade older and know better, I'd still like to try and make a shirt for real for myself. It's silly, and stupid, but I like it.

Day 3: Quickie Blob-hair Girl

XS Faber-Castell
I almost forgot to draw today, so here's a quick doodle for tonight. I got caught up filming, editing, and uploading a Youtube Video, so I guess I made 2 things today.

I felt like drawing something kind of melty and blob-like, so here's a girl with blob hair. No real explanation as to why, but I like her blob-tails. You can also see a hint of the pizza I mentioned during day 2 at the top.

Day 2: Art 365 Sweet Lolita

Mechanical Pencil & XS Faber-Castell
Day 2! I doodled a bit of pizza at first, but I thought I should try and so something a little more complex, so I decided to make a teeny tiny lolita. That's my thumb at the bottom for scale.

I like doodling small, which is fun, but it stinks for making prints. Maybe I'll take this into Adobe Illustrator and make a vector of it so I can do something with it. I'd like to make some Cameo-style lolitas and add them to my cupcake and food themed pouches.

Day 1: Art 365 Black Lady

Pencil & Faber-Castells. Color added in photoshop.

So I have been playing around with this idea in my head to do a 365 art challenge. I don't know if I'll keep up with it, we all know how Inctober went, but I'd like to try. It might vary from a doodle to a finished piece to a WIP, but I'd like to try and make something every single day this year and post about it. Today I have a drawing of Black Lady.

I am SOOOO rusty at inking, and I haven't done traditional art in forever. Let's hope this will help me out. I gotta get better and I need to start producing things quicker.

You are what you eat: Infographic

Here is a food-based infographic I made while I was in college. I gotta say, my eating habits really haven't changed....

Making A Scholar's Cosplay PT 1: Scholar's Hat and Medals [EDITED]

Alvic Libretto of Excalibur aka Libra Fitzkhione Photo © LINK
EDIT: 3/2/17 - I created the costume pictured above for someone I was dating who attended the Las Vegas FFXIV Fan Fest in 2014. We are longer together, but since I am proud of the work I did, here is how I made a few of the costume pieces. Sadly, due to personal reasons, I never finished uploading the rest of the steps for the costume tutorial.

I've mentioned this before, but my ex-boyfriend attended the FFXIV Realm Reborn Fan Fest in Vegas in October, and although I did not attend with him, I created his cosplay for the event. He entered the costume contest (which was pretty awesome) but he did not end up placing.

I figured I'd post a bit about the costume and the costume making process I went through. So today I have a few photos of the medals on the coat and the scholar's cap.
