Doughnuts are in this season.

Doughnuts are in this season.

Seriously though, I sold out of every single doughnut related item I made. Gotta restock and get ready for Baltimore Comic Con in September, plus I’m applying to two more local cons on Saturday that’ll take place this winter in NJ. Let’s hope I’m able to do this artist alley thing more often!

More Otakon Stuff!

Look at these cuties! (If anyone recognizes the cosplayers, please let me know so I can give them credit.)  It’s the lovely crosmyheart and trustinwhatwasfalloutboy, as Vanellope & Ralphie respectively. They are just so freaking adorable!

Since Wreck-It Ralph is a few years old, I don't see as many cosplayers as I used to. I know my Cosplay-sized pendants are expensive (and rightfully so, they take a lot of work to make), but if you're cosplaying Wreck-It Ralph and you stop by my table, I let you take photos with it for free. (It helps promote the item and I get some awesome shots like this.)

I'm back, and mostly alive!

Otakon was so awesome! I got to talk to so many new and interesting people about all kinds of things, I saw amazing costumes, reconnected with two of my amazingly artistic childhood friends, and sell a lot of art.

This was one of the best Artist Alleys I've seen in years. Every artist was so amazingly talented, and the products were so diverse. Sure, everyone and their mom (including me) had something Steven Universe, but that's because Rebecca Sugar is an evil genius who makes me cry with her adorable cartoons.

I sold out of:
  • My TWEWY group shot (in both the 11x17 and mini sizes)
  • My Sailor Moon Notebooks
  • Cat Nip Pillows
  • Oops Buttons (Thank Goodness)
  • Everything using my Sailor Moon themed fabric from Spoonflower
  • Tons of my Polymer Clay Foodie Jewelry
  • Nightmare Before Christmas Buttons & Button Packs
  • Inner and Outer Senshi Button Packs
I have so much stuff to restock before Baltimore Comic-Con in September!

I know it's kind of taboo to talk about money and earnings and stuff, but I like being open and honest, so full disclosure, I made more money last year, but I still made more than enough money to make the trip well worth it. I'll be making a bunch more Otakon and Alley-related posts, and on August 1st, I'm getting back into my daily art posts and 30-day workouts. Now that Otakon's over, I need to relax a tiny bit and recuperate. Right now I'm a raspy voiced zombie and it's nearly 3AM. I gotta get my butt into bed.

Day one of Otakon is over, and so far everything is going great! I was Cooking Mama for day one, which seemed appropriate, since I also write Sometimes Foodie. Next is summer Tora Dora uniform, but with a long sleeve shirt because the alley is freaking freezing this year!

Today is also a super long day, it'll be 10AM-11PM... I'm gonna be so dead.

Expand Your World! - Print for Otakon 2015

Oh man, there’s still so much to do before Otakon! Gahhhh!

I put together this group shot print for the alley, and I’m pretty happy with it. I want to eventually change the bottom portion and replace the pins with a sketch of the black cat from the graffiti wall, but for now, this’ll do just fine.

Day 181: Everything is Chaos

Otakon is two weeks away, time to make my work area look like a war zone and stop sleeping!

I made these awesome sailor moon stationary pads yesterday using 60# writing paper, laser prints, chipboards, and glue. They turned out so cute! I think I'll sell them at Otakon paired with a sticker sheet for $8.00 a piece. Does that sound good? I think it does. There are 25 sheets on each pad, and I only have 11 finished pads to take with me. If they sell well there I'll make more and bring them with me to the International Sailor Moon day in Philadelphia next month.

Want a glimpse at my super messy work table? Check it out under the cut.

Stationary Time!

About 10 years ago, I had these cute little cupcake characters that I used to draw all the time. I made animations for them and everything. I decided to revive them and make some stationary for Otakon. Below the cut are a few more pages, and some of my older works.

New Stuff on Redbubble! - Unconventional Conventionists

I made notebooks with my movie night poster. (But I removed all out movie going info)

I got so much done this weekend! I can finally walk and move around without feeling pain, since the NY Fancy Food convention really kicked my butt, and I put my mobility to good use by getting a ton of stuff done for Otakon. (Which is approaching so quickly!!!)

Since I'm getting a lot of my art files in order for printing anyway, I decided to start adding them to my Redbubble shop as well.

Day 179: Floop da' Puff

Working on a few Jack-Jack doodles. I really really wanted to make a Pomeranian sticker-sheet, but I'm not happy with any Pomeranian doodles. I feel like they all look like cats!

Day 178: Inked Pack Mule

My legs are feeling a bit better today than yesterday. Getting up and down stairs is still tense and hurts a bit, but walking on level ground is way better.

I just found out that I have Friday off, so I'll be recording a few Haul videos from my NY trip and hopefully an Art-related video as well. I really like doing art themed videos and design resources, but they require a LOT more preparation than my food ones, but I'd like to post more videos here.
